This state-wide initiative for National HIV Testing Day is a movement rooted in empowerment,
action, and health equity. It encourages individuals across our state to take charge of their
sexual health by knowing their HIV status, re-engaging in care if living with HIV, and accessing
PrEP to stay protected if not.

As part of the national effort to end the HIV epidemic, this initiative focuses on increasing
access to HIV testing, expanding education, and strengthening connections to HIV treatment
and prevention services. Through partnership with over 20 health departments and community-
based organization across Indiana, the focus of the National HIV Testing Day initiative is to
break down stigma, remove barriers, and ensure that every person—regardless of
background—has the tools and support they need to make informed health decisions.

At its core, this initiative is about owning your power, your choices, and your future. Whether it’s
through treatment or prevention, when you test, you own it—and you live free.
